Heavy Equipment Preparing Rural Land for Another Big Box Retail Outlet

Railroading ...."to force something to happen or force someone to do something, especially quickly or unfairly"

The plight of rural residents of Bastrop County is not unlike  that of some South American Indian tribes who have seen their  land and livelihood destroyed in the name of progress.   Forest and farm land is being cleared for oil exploration.  Old growth forests are clear cut and burned.  Oil is pumped out and  the natives have little to show for it.  In fact they have a negative  gain.  They loose their fish and game; their means to grow  crops.  The land is often irreparably damaged from chemical leaks.

Bastrop County is being systematically bulldozed and paved  over in the name of progress.  The environment is being  permanently damaged by removing the ground cover and  replacing it with concrete, shopping malls and residential sprawl.  2,000 additional acres of Bastrop County was slated for destruction for a totally unnecessary airport.  Most taxpayers know "why" these projects are going forward and they "know" they are not for their benefit, but for the gain of local  politricksters and developers.  Bastrop has a reputation for  government corruption.

What will you do to stop it?  When  you see a candidate running for public office in Bastrop who  says he is "for responsible growth," or it’s “For the Kids,”  that should throw up a big  red flag.  He or she just wants in on the payoffs.  The latest examples are the recent ACC and  Airport scams  Study those who are involved + follow the money = you, the taxpayer loose!    NEW— ACCTaxFacts.com
